By making a payment to Lustré Event Rentals, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Credit Card & Processing Fee Policy. This policy is designed to provide transparency regarding fees associated with credit card payments and processing.

This policy outlines the acceptance of credit cards and any associated processing fees charged to customers in compliance with California state laws.

2. Processing Fees:
To cover the costs associated with credit card transactions, a processing fee may be applied to credit card payments. The processing fee is 2.9% + 30 cents of the total transaction amount. This fee is subject to change, and customers will be notified of any changes prior to the transaction.
3. Disclosure:
All processing fees will be clearly disclosed at the point of sale before the final transaction is completed. Customers have the right to know the total cost of their purchase, including any fees.
4. State Compliance:
This policy complies with California Civil Code Section 1748.1, which allows businesses to charge a fee for credit card transactions, provided that such fees are disclosed to the consumer.

8. Payment Processing Fees
We utilize Stripe as our payment processor for credit card transactions. Stripe charges a 2.9% fee on the total transaction amount plus a $0.30 fee per transaction. As a business, we do not manage or profit from these fees; they are passed on directly from Stripe to you, the customer.
9. Refunds & Processing Fees
In the rare event a refund is issued to your credit card, please note that the processing fee is non-refundable. This fee is retained by Stripe, and Lustré Event Rentals has no control over this as we act solely as an intermediary for the processing. If your event date is getting changed, we suggest keeping a credit with us instead of asking for a refund, as we will not be able to refund the processing fee.
